KMLA - Return to Play Guidelines Phase 1

Posted by Kamloops Rattlers at Mar 1, 2021 8:46PM PST

Here are the 2021 approved return to play guidelines for the upcoming season and several links to important information. Please take some time to read and familiarize yourself with the information.

  • **Update – On Nov. 24, 2020, a mask enforcement order was introduced under the EPA, requiring
  • masks for people over the age of 12 in public indoor settings, unless they are exempt.
  • Details are available here:**

Every year, players of all ages in all sports receive concussion injuries during games and practice. Characterized by an impairment of the brain’s normal function and caused by violent shaking or jarring of the brain, concussions may cause alterations in cognitive function, vision, eye movement, facial movement, or speech. Contrary to popular belief, no helmet in any sport can prevent a concussion.

Please visit the Health and Safety Information Page to learn more about what KMLA is doing in regards to concussions for the upcoming 2021 season.

Here is a great video to help understand concussions and concussion management for players.
