UPDATE (3/5/2020): For the 2020 season the Kamloops Minor Lacrosse Association has voted in line with the Thompson-Okanagan Minor Box Lacrosse Commission (TOMBLC) to leave hitting/ crosschecking in for the 2020 10U division (formally Novice). The emphasis for kids in 6U-10U divisions will continue to be the place and push approach to defense, but crosschecking will be allowed.

It was originally expected that the TOMBLC would vote to remove hitting for 6U for the 2020 season following the BC Lacrosse Associations initiative.
